On the platform, still and close
My heart leapt for joy
You smelled of sweet coconut
As I leaned in to kiss you

Who’s that girl in the bottom of my teacup
Her wet reflection breaking over
The cracks in the glaze
She blinks, wavers, and is eclipsed as
The last amber drops slide down my throat
